In a bid to impact lives and promote good health, a non-governmental organisation, The Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation, plans a medical outreach for indigent people of Akwa Ihiala, in Anambra State.
The foundation’s Chairman and Patron, High Chief Stanley Chukwudi Obodoagwu, said charity, which is critical to community development, should begin at home.
“Charity is greatly encouraged and it is expected that prominent community members should take responsive love actions to improve the wellbeing of their people,” he said.
He said during the event which will hold on 5 December, participants will benefit from free medical diagnoses, counselling and free treatment.
Obodoagwu, who stated that in the first edition of the programme, over 2500 persons benefited, added that the foundation is a movement that supports individual and collective work of community members to sponsor projects and programmes that benefit the community as a whole.
