Worrisome development as Obaseki goes beserk orders demolition of all Ize-Iyamu’s billboards across Edo State

Edo 2020: Desperation sets in as Obaseki orders demolition of all Ize-Iyamu’s billboards across Edo State.
The stories emanating from Edo State no longer serves the intriguing purpose we once envisaged.
Recent events have shown a high level of desperation from Godwin Obaseki as regards his second term bid.
Confirmed information just reaching our news desk has it in good authority that Gov. Godwin Obaseki has ordered the demolition of all campaign billboards erected by parties and candidates in the build-up to the Edo September 19th governorship election in the state.
It is quite unfortunate that the Governor singled out the billboards of Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu for destruction.
This development is quite worrisome bearing in mind that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has not even come out to declare his intention to contest for the seat of the Governor yet.
It was gathered that the billboards were erected and paid for by pressure groups urging Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to offer himself for service to the State in acknowledgement of his past sacrifices to the State.
More worrisome is that this is coming barely 24 hrs to the Presidential peace reconciliation committee set up and headed by the most respected Bisi Akande to look into the crisis in all the 36 state chapters of the party.
The Obaseki media team has been celebrating the committee like a victory won at the Supreme court. Only for the same Governor to be clouded by fret and ordered the demolition of the billboards barely 24 hrs after the inauguration of the committee by the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
Also the secretary to the state Chapter of the APC, Lawrence Okah had his house bombed last night, the state secretary only survived by the whiskers.
As of the time of filing this report the bill board of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu at Sapele road was demolished this night.
This is sad as the billboards were duly approved by the relevant government agencies and the stipulated fees paid.
This is a developing story as more update would be shared as events unfold.
