He has undergone Senate screening for a ministerial position while his son, Olatunbosun, who bears a striking resemblance to him, has received a promotion.

Olatunbosun Alake, despite being from Ekiti State, has been nominated as a commissioner in Lagos State, where he serves as the Special Adviser on Innovation and Technology to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

This situation mirrors what happened in the past when his father was appointed Commissioner for Information and Strategy during Tinubu’s tenure as Governor of Lagos State.

Once Olatunbosun passes the screening in the state House of Assembly, it is likely that Sanwo-Olu will deploy him to the Ministry of Science and Technology to leverage his extensive experience in that field.

Olatunbosun Alake holds a degree in Computer and Information Science, along with a Master’s in Business Administration (General Management) from Temple University Philadelphia, USA. With almost a decade of experience in various aspects of technology and entertainment, he is an Information Technology and Business Management Executive.

He began building his career after returning to Nigeria and worked at IPNX Nigeria Limited, a communication firm, as the Head of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. Later, he served as the General Manager of Innovation and Technology at Film House Cinemas, where he caught the attention of Governor Sanwo-Olu and was appointed as a Special Adviser.

Olatunbosun also holds a board position on the Lagos State Science and Research Council.
