Viral Statement: FG Speaks On Minister Hannatu NYSC Status
Conflicting statements have emerged regarding the National Youth Service (NYSC) status of Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy.
One statement, purportedly released by the Minister on Sunday, asserts that she has not violated Nigerian law by being appointed as a minister while simultaneously participating in the compulsory NYSC program.
However, another statement from her office claims that the minister has not yet provided any comments on the matter.
Expressing gratitude for the support and understanding of Nigerians during this time, the latter statement, signed by Suleiman Haruna, Deputy Director of Press at the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, clarifies that Hannatu Musawa has not issued any official statement concerning the ongoing issue.
The controversy surrounding the NYSC status of the Minister has gained significant attention since it was revealed that she was undergoing the NYSC program. Hannatu Musawa was one of the 45 ministers recently assigned portfolios by President Bola Tinubu after their confirmation by the Senate.
