BREAKING: Tinubu Sacks Powerful Boss, Appoints Replacement
President Bola Tinubu announced on Friday the appointment of Khalil Suleiman Halilu as the new Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).
A statement from the President’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, stated that the tenure of Bashir Gwandu as EVC/CEO of NASENI has been terminated.

Khalil Suleiman Halilu
Mr. Ngelale explained that Mr. Halilu’s appointment is for an initial term of five years, in accordance with the relevant sections of the NASENI Act, 2014.
Mr. Halilu, 32 years old, is expected to bring his significant experience as an innovator and technology expert to this important national assignment.
The President’s directive ensures that this appointment takes immediate effect.
