BREAKING: Disturbing Update On Planned Impeachment Of Fubara Emerge

A new crisis has erupted within the Rivers State House of Assembly, fueled by speculations of an imminent impeachment process against Governor Sim Fubara.

On Monday, the House ousted its leader, Edison Ehie, over allegations of overseeing the burning of the Assembly Complex the previous Sunday night.

Led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, the Assembly also issued an impeachment notice to the governor, even as Fubara arrived at the Assembly Complex amidst these developments.

Subsequently, members of the House evacuated the Complex for their safety, as tear gas was deployed outside the premises.

A spontaneous protest ensued outside the Complex, with supporters of the governor vehemently opposing his potential impeachment.

While it remains uncertain if the fire is linked to the political conflict, rumors of a discord between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who currently serves as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, have been circulating for some time.
