Bandits Kill Soldier, Abduct Family Members, 8 Others In Kaduna

A soldier, yet to be identified, was killed in Anguwar Tudu, Azzara village of Kachia Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna State.

The incident occurred when armed bandits, wielding AK-47 rifles and riding motorcycles, invaded the community last Saturday around 11 pm.

According to a resident, Danjuma Saleh, the bandits initially attacked the home of Alhaji Shafiu, abducting him, his wife, and a child. Although the woman was later released, her husband remained in captivity.

The deceased soldier, who hailed from Minna, Niger State, was visiting relatives in the village when the bandits attacked.

He mentioned that the deceased soldier’s remains were subsequently transported to Minna after the police were notified and arrived at the scene.

As of the time of reporting, there has been no official response from the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command regarding the kidnapping incident.
