President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Ondo State House of Assembly to delegate power to Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The President emphasized that the power transfer should occur unconditionally, citing the “Doctrine of Necessity.” The process is expected to involve the use of an electronic signature (e-signature) as the ailing governor is reportedly too weak to sign any documents.
This decision allows Governor Akeredolu to take a medical leave for his well-being.
