The incident occurred as President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were leaving his Wilmington, Delaware, campaign headquarters around 8 pm after a meal with members of his re-election team.

Videos of the collision circulated on social media, showing President Biden momentarily shocked before being hurried into a car by Secret Service agents.

The collision involved a silver copper Ford sedan with Delaware plates, which rammed into the side of a black U.S. Secret Service SUV protecting the motorcade.

Following the crash, Secret Service members quickly approached the car to engage with the driver, whose identity has not yet been disclosed. President Biden’s swift departure from the scene ensured his safety, and there were no reported injuries in the incident.
