Recent reports had hinted at Mavin Records seeking investment or considering a potential sale, with bids reportedly coming from major players like the Universal Music Group and HYBE.

However, Don Jazzy clarified that the label is not actively seeking a sale but has been approached by investors interested in its potential.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Zero Conditions podcast, Don Jazzy emphasized that Mavin Records is a lucrative venture with considerable potential, attracting interest from foreign investors.

He explained that the label has been in a successful partnership with its current investor, Kupanda Holdings, for five years, acknowledging that such partnerships may not last indefinitely.

In his words, “The rumors about the sale of Mavin Records are simple. We have investors, Kupanda Holdings, and they have been here for five years now, so they may choose to move on [laughs].
