Waldrum’s team is gearing up for a crucial showdown against arch-rivals, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, in the third round of qualifiers.

The opening leg is scheduled to take place at the Stade de la Reunification, Douala, this Friday, with the return fixture set for the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja next Monday.

Having recently extended his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Waldrum emphasized the significance of Olympic qualification after the team’s prolonged absence from the prestigious event.

“Our primary goal is qualification for the Olympics,” stated Waldrum in an interview with the Super Falcons media team. “We must focus on the task at hand, which is the upcoming matches against Cameroon.”

Reflecting on the challenges posed by Cameroon, Waldrum acknowledged their formidable talent and emphasized the need for his squad to maintain a high level of performance.
