In a press release issued by its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, the anti-graft agency clarified that the reported raid was entirely fabricated and devoid of any truth. The EFCC emphasized that it had not collaborated with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in any joint operation, dismissing the allegations as baseless.
The agency clarified that a recent operation undertaken at the university involved the arrest of 48 students, conducted a day prior to the alleged raid. The EFCC assured the public that this operation was meticulously planned and executed without any untoward incident. Moreover, it stressed that no other agency was involved in this specific operation.
Addressing the public, the EFCC cautioned against the dissemination of false information and urged vigilance in discerning the validity of news reports.
