Speaking at the 2023 Leadership Annual Conference and Award held in Abuja on Tuesday, March 5, President Tinubu highlighted the significant strides made in attracting foreign investments across various sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, oil and gas, among others.

Represented by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, President Tinubu emphasized the tangible progress made in actualizing these investment commitments, with funds already beginning to flow into the country.

During a recent official visit to Qatar, President Tinubu secured assurances from the Emir for a senior government delegation to visit Nigeria post-Ramadan, further solidifying bilateral ties and investment prospects between the two nations.

Citing positive economic indicators, President Tinubu noted that Nigeria witnessed a notable growth rate of 3.46 per cent in the last quarter of 2023, surpassing earlier projections. Additionally, capital importation surged by 66 per cent in Q4 2023, marking a significant reversal from the previous quarter’s decline.

In January 2024, the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (ASI) reached a historic milestone, surpassing the 100,000 points mark, indicative of robust investor confidence and market resilience.

President Tinubu’s remarks underscored the optimism surrounding Nigeria’s economic outlook, debunking assertions of economic distress and highlighting the nation’s attractiveness as a prime destination for foreign investment.
