In addition to advocating for state police, Jonathan called for comprehensive reforms across various sectors to bolster the country’s security framework. He highlighted the importance of revamping the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to guarantee fair and free elections, emphasizing the need to minimize the use of police forces during electoral processes to prevent undue influence.
