Kwara Police Nab Three Suspected Cultists After Violent Clash

The arrested individuals, identified as Suleiman Ismail, Mamud Ibrahim, and Mudashir Saeed, all residents of Budo-Oke, Eiyenkori, were found in possession of a dane gun during their arrest.

According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, the altercation began between two suspected cultists, Adams Isah (also known as ‘Number One’), and Rasaq Olorunwa. Isah was fatally stabbed in the chest by Olorunwa, leading to his demise upon arrival at the hospital.

In response to the incident, suspected members of Isah’s group turned violent, prompting swift action from police tactical teams, resulting in the arrest of the three suspects at the scene.

The arrested individuals have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ilorin for further interrogation. Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to apprehend Rasaq Olorunwa and other culprits who may have fled the scene.

Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, emphasized that involvement in any cult group constitutes a serious criminal offense, reassuring the public that peace has been restored in the area, with efforts ongoing to ensure justice prevails.
