Man Sets Mosque On Fire During Prayers, Locks Worshippers Inside

The incident occurred while the community was observing the ‘Subh’ prayer, DailyTrust reports.
A community member, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “The man used petrol to start the fire while about 40 people were praying. He then locked the mosque after igniting the blaze.”
“It took some time for people outside to become aware of the incident and rescue the victims who were struggling to break out.”
At least 20 worshippers, who sustained serious injuries, have been rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano.
