Zamfara’s Political Leaders To Face Increased Scrutiny From Watchdog Group
A Zamfara State group, Peace and Leadership Excellent Forum, has vowed that it would monitor political office holders in the state.
Addressing newsmen at the Press Center in Gusau, the leader of the group, Alhaji Kabiru Abubakar Gusau, said monumental corruption will no longer be tolerated in Zamfara.
“Many political office holders are there for self aggrandizement rather than working for the masses according to their oath of office.
“Financial mismanagement will not be accepted as the Forum demands accountability and we will caution any political office holder that is not serious.”
Speaking further, he said the group has urged a former Director of Finance of Gusau Local Government Council, Muhammad Sambo Balarebe Gusau, to contest the Local Government chairmanship election in the state.
