The campaign, led by the Crisis Management Department through its Disaster Management Unit, aims to educate residents, particularly in high-risk areas like markets and densely populated neighborhoods, about fire prevention, preparedness, and effective response strategies.

Chibuzo Odeyemi, Head of the Disaster Management Unit, revealed that NSCDC personnel visited key locations such as Ipata Market, Oja Oba Market, Mandate Market, Oja Tuntun, and Shao Garage. There, they engaged traders, motorists, and the public, discussing common fire hazards, including mishandling of flammable materials, and stressing vital safety measures and emergency procedures.

NSCDC also emphasized its role in disaster management and rescue operations, urging residents to follow safety guidelines and stay vigilant against fire hazards during the harmattan season.
