Originally slated for 2024, the tournament has been rescheduled to August 2025 but will still take place in East Africa, with Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda serving as co-hosts.

The group stage draw took place on Wednesday evening, January 15, at the iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
