Just In: Terror Crushed! 18 Suspected Kidnappers Arrested In Edo Raid

The Edo State Security Corps (ESSC) has captured 18 individuals allegedly involved in kidnapping and armed robbery along the Benin-Ekpoma-Auchi axis.

ESSC Commandant Friday Ibadin, a retired police commissioner, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended near Eguedion Camp, close to an army checkpoint. He further revealed that 17 of the 18 arrested individuals were non-indigenes of Edo State.

He assured residents that the state government remains committed to ensuring security, particularly ahead of the farming season, and vowed to intensify efforts to rid the forests of criminals.

The suspects have been handed over to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Agbede for further investigation.
