Nigeria Police Introduce Tricycle Loan Scheme for Officers

According to reports, the Assistant Inspector General of Police overseeing the Police Cooperative Society in Lagos issued a wireless message on March 12, 2025, informing all police departments, commands, and units about the initiative. The scheme will be facilitated by Bulk Stalker Engineering Limited, which will supply various types of tricycles to interested police officers.

The tricycles, including models such as tricycle trucks, trike pick-ups, TTI single cabins, and tricycle taxis, will be available on loan at a cost of ₦5,500,000. Beneficiaries will have a repayment plan of ₦90,000 per month, spread over 60 months, with deductions processed through the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

Application forms will be available for collection at all police cooperative shops. As of now, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has yet to confirm the development.
