NLC Takes Action: Union Leaders Mobilize For Nationwide Labour Party Takeover

The President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has directed union leaders to mobilize and take control of Labour Party (LP) offices across the 36 states and the national headquarters in Abuja………READ MORE 

This directive follows a recent Supreme Court ruling which overturned a previous decision by lower courts. Ajaero emphasized that Nigerian workers and loyal members of the Labour Party will not allow the leadership of Julius Abure to disregard the Supreme Court’s decision. Ajaero also warned security agencies, particularly the police, to enforce the court’s judgment or risk damaging Nigeria’s international reputation. He called for the appointment of an interim leadership to address the party’s leadership crisis and for the removal of Abure’s name from the Independent National Electoral Commission’s portal.
