From the moment the President signed performance bonds with his ministers, it was clear that this administration would not tolerate business as usual. Momoh and his team took that mandate seriously, immediately replicating the performance bond culture across the commissions under the ministry of regional development  — beginning with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

NDDC: Restoring Confidence, Delivering Impact

Today, the NDDC is not just back on track — it is thriving. The board and management, working in perfect synergy with the ministry, have rolled out a string of landmark projects: world-class regional hospitals, bridges linking once-isolated communities, rural electrification projects, and life-changing scholarships — both local and foreign — empowering the next generation of Niger Delta youths.

This harmony between board, management, ministry, and the Niger Delta people is unprecedented, ushering in a new era of peace and productivity for the region.

North-East Rising: Housing, Skills, and Livelihoods

In the North-East, the story is equally inspiring. Hon. Momoh recently undertook a strategic inspection tour across key NEDC project sites, reaffirming his ministry’s commitment to President Tinubu’s vision. Among the highlights was the 1,000-unit housing scheme in Borno State — a symbol of restored dignity for displaced families.

But the intervention did not stop at housing. Momoh and his team assessed skill acquisition programs creating jobs for youths, expansive road networks reconnecting remote communities, and revitalized schools and clinics. Every project reflects a deliberate push to restore hope, rebuild livelihoods, and ensure that development is not just promised — but delivered.

Unprecedented Growth Nationwide

The inauguration of the South-South, South-West, and North-Central Development Commissions’ boards marks a bold step toward balanced, equitable growth nationwide. Together with the already active NDDC and NEDC, as well as the recently inaugurated management teams of the North-West and South-East Commissions, Nigeria now has a full seven-commission framework driving inclusive development across all regions.

For the first time in our nation’s history, every region has a dedicated development engine, working in synergy under one ministry. This alignment ensures that no region is left behind as the administration pushes forward on infrastructure, social welfare, and economic empowerment.

Leadership with Heart and Presence

Momoh is not a minister who leads from behind a desk. Together with his Minister of State, His Excellency Uba Maigari Ahmadu, he remains actively on the field — inspecting, supervising, encouraging — ensuring that projects are not just commissioned but completed. Their insistence on accountability, while allowing the commissions to operate with independence, has unleashed innovation and accelerated delivery timelines.
