Mohbad’s Father Claims Late Son’s Wife Has Prevented Him From Seeing His Grandson Since His Passing

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, Aloba said he has had no access to the child and that communication with Mohbad’s partner has remained strained since the incident. He noted that the situation has left him completely disconnected from his grandson, whom he says has been moved around without his involvement.

Naija News reports that tensions surrounding custody and family relations have continued to attract public attention since Mohbad’s death in 2023.

Aloba also reflected on his relationship with his son’s partner while Mohbad was alive, stating that he accepted her because of his love for his son. According to him, Mohbad personally introduced her to him and informed him of her pregnancy, which he welcomed as a responsible father.

He further recalled that arrangements for a family introduction did not go as initially explained to him. Aloba said he was informed it would be a simple meeting between both families, but he was surprised to find a large crowd upon arrival, which made the situation confusing for him.

He added that after the incident, Mohbad later distanced himself from certain family arrangements and expressed concerns about his relationship at the time.

Quoting his words, Aloba said he has not had access to his grandson since Mohbad’s death, adding that his son had once told him about plans for an introduction that later turned out differently from what was initially communicated.
