Peggy Ovire To Frederick Leonard: “Let’s Finalize The Divorce So You Can Be Together

Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly addressed her ongoing marital dispute with her estranged husband, actor Frederick Leonard, as their divorce proceedings continue.

According to reports, the actress shared a video on her Instagram story featuring Frederick Leonard alongside a woman she identified as his alleged romantic partner, describing the pair as “shameless.”

Peggy disclosed that the matter is currently before a customary court and revealed that the next hearing has been fixed for June 23. She alleged that despite being duly served with court documents, Frederick failed to appear in court and had also missed an earlier hearing.

The actress expressed hope that all parties would attend the upcoming session to ensure the divorce process is concluded without further delays. She maintained that her estranged husband had already seen the details contained in her divorce petition but still chose to stay away from the proceedings.

Peggy further accused him of opting to send a legal representative instead of appearing personally to respond to the case.

In a strongly worded statement, she challenged Frederick Leonard not to miss the June 23 hearing, insisting she would present evidence to support her claims and push for the dissolution of the marriage.

She also alleged that the actor, whom she described as a self-proclaimed traditional Igbo man, is involved with another married Igbo woman who has four children. Peggy claimed that although he had previously dismissed her allegations publicly, his refusal to appear in court after reviewing her petition suggested otherwise.

The actress maintained that she is determined to see the legal process through, stating that finalizing the divorce would allow both parties to move on with their lives.
