PDP Is Now APC While APC Is Now PDP Matters Arising By Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah
There is a popular saying I always love to refer to when comparing similar circumstances.
” The Snake wey bite Mr A don take the same tail flog Mr B” My late dad would always say this when comparing two individuals that have the same FAULT.
The aftermath of the APC national convention has stirred a lot of ripples which is currently shaking the table.
The Snake wey bite PDP don take the same tail flog the APC. Which means to say “Same” “Same” people.
Hmm, I love this comparison because it all started after the great consensus of APC which saw the emergence of Senator Abdullahi Adamu a once die-hard PDP stalwart emerging as the National Chairman of APC.
Boom the social media space has been abuzz with headlines screaming that the PDP has taken over the APC. In justifying their assertion they rolled out a long list of PDP henchmen one time or the other that has emerged as major players in the party.
Check out the roll call below …
Abdullahi Adamu, National Chairman
Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary
Festus Fuanter, Deputy National Secretary
F.N. Nwosu, National Welfare Secretary
Mustapha Salihu, National Vice-chairman (north-west)
Muazu Bawa Rjau, National Vice chairman (north-central)
Nze Chidi Duru, Deputy National Organizing Secretary
Ahmed El-Marzuk, National Legal Adviser
Uguru Matthew Ofoka, National Treasurer
Betta Edu, National Women Leader
Abubakar Maikafi, National Auditor.
Those are 11 key positions in an NWC, superb you would say, so why the PDP sympathizers are celebrating the conquest of APC by the old PDP cabal the APC sympathizers have in turn uncovered the leadership of PDP as well.
So the transfer window which just ended with the APC convention actually began last year with the PDP convention.
Check out this list of PDP line up that were once in AC /APC but are now executives of PDP.
Iyorchia Ayu — National Chairman.
Taofeek Arapaja — Deputy National Chairman, South.
Umar Damagum — Deputy National Chairman, North.
Samuel Anyanwu — National Secretary.
Ahmad Mohammed — National Treasurer.
Umar Bature — National Organising Secretary.
Kamaldeen Ajibade, National Legal Adviser.
Ibrahim Abdullahi, Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
Hajara Wanka, Deputy National Women Leader.
Matters Arising:
It is evidently clear that politics is a profession and in the course of pursuing one’s career one might end up trying different means to achieve that singular purpose. What this means is that one must continue to remain focused on his goals and would finally get to his destination with persistence.
This also tells us that the politicians are never our problem but we Nigerians who have failed to get into this profession and salvage what is left of it. Nothing in this life is static we must begin to use our senses and know that every single change we desire lies in our hands.
Never be discouraged to pursue your dreams in any political party, The SYSTEM looks at your network and value not what is expected by a few people.
Reality:
This is a clear message not only to politicians, the youths, women, elders etc it applies to every single one of us. Building our nation is a collective effort and self-discipline and character matter in building the edifice.
The 2023 general elections present an opportunity for fresh talents to be discovered, it presents an opportunity for visionaries to be located. Be your best at what you do and keep your eyes glued to the ball.
Great thinkers, philosophers, comedians, musicians, content creators, cameramen, social media influencers, caterers, debaters and so many more would come to the light these next few months.
The elections are not only about campaign rallies and political lies as well as good speeches or thuggery.
In every of the highlighted disadvantages mentioned above, there are a thousand job opportunities derived therein. Focus on your value as the electoral circle would be the springboard for millions of upcoming generations that are skilled in various ways.
We have become fixated with the ills of an election that we never see the blessings and opportunities it offers. Every day people that are in disagreement with my political views look at me and call me a paid propagandist.
They say all these things because my views are contrary to theirs, but I see it differently I see it as a breakthrough getting heard across the Nation because of my views no matter how weird it sounds to them.
The political actors are one and the same, you need not have grudges on them or participants because of your divergent views. You choose to see the flaws in an electoral process and I choose to see the opportunities in an electoral process. The fault lies in your perception and not mine.
When growing up at the university we normally end up in different schools before we finally get our certification. Does that translate to the certificate issued as non-valid? Does it diminish our qualifications in any way?
Get up and play your part in the electoral circle, politics is a business, and in business, you don’t dwell (too much) on emotions and sentiments to succeed.
So according to the lyrics of Africa China make una lead us well, if you be president, if you be governor, if you be senator, if you be police, if you be cameraman, if you be driver if you be graphic editor if you be social media influencer, whatever you end up doing please play your part diligently and tap into the opportunities the general election offers.
For those that want to remain gloomy and green, it is your own cup of it. For me, you can not kill my vibes all I see is positivity.
Meet you at the top.
My name na Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah and I am the Principal/Chairman of Bush Radio Academy.
