Wesley Snipes Unexpectedly Returns To Marvel In New TV Series

Wesley Snipes will feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, new TV series.

The only popular superhero films before he took on the role of C-list vampire hunter Blade for the 1998 film directed by Stephen Norrington featured Batman or Superman, and those franchises were on the decline.

The only other Marvel film to have been shown in theaters was the infamous flop Howard the Duck from 1986.

The majority of Marvel movies were poor direct-to-VHS releases, like the Punisher movie with Dolph Lundgren and no skull logo, or embarrassing TV movies, like Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD with David Hasselhoff playing the titular role.

With Blade, Snipes revitalized the stale superhero genre and added excitement, vibrancy, and coolness.

Fans have long yearned for Snipes to return to the genre and join the MCU despite the catastrophic and divisive Blade: Trinity. Most people anticipated that he would show up in the upcoming Blade revival, which features Mahershala Ali in the lead role. But Snipes will unexpectedly arrive earlier than expected.

Marvel shared a clip from the animated series Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur as well as a roster of its guest voice actors as part of their announcements about animation at SDCC.

Diamond White voices Moon Girl, a young genius who bonds with Devil Dinosaur, a red mutant T-Rex, in Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, a children’s animated series that will air on the Disney Channel.

The 90-second short depicting Moon Girl’s vain attempt to deter some robbers has a fun, irreverent tone that is appropriate for children aged 7 to 13.

The program is an adaptation of the same-titled recent comic book series by Brandon Montclare & Amy Reeder, Natacha Bustos, Tamara Bonvillian, and Travis Lanham.

The Devil Dinosaur and Moon-Boy television series is an updating of an earlier Jack Kirby idea about characters who went on adventures in a different reality.

Devil Dinosaur is brought into the present in the new series and the animated adaption, where it has absurd escapades with Moon Girl. In addition to Sasheer Zamata, Jermaine Fowler, Gary Anthony Williams, and Alfre Woodard as members of Lunella’s family, Lawrence Fishburne will play The Beyonder, one of Marvel’s most peculiar and polarizing characters.

Undoubtedly, Blade and the majority of Snipes’ work will have a completely different tone from Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

The actor, however, has repeatedly proven that he is one of the most versatile and skilled performers of our generation, as seen by everything including action turns in Blade and Demolition Man to comedic appearances in White Men Can’t Jump and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything; Julie Numar.

Snipes is the only person who has the ability to find new levels in the Daywalker or to voice a different Marvel Comics weirdo.
