2023: Igbo Group Explains Support For Tinubu’s Presidency
As the 2023 polls draw nearer, an Ndigbo group under the aegis of Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative (OPI) have mapped out strategies aimed at ensuring victory for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the all Progressives Congress (APC).
The group led by Ginika Tor, who spoke during the unveiling of ‘Igbo kwenu 4 Asiwaju,’ in Lagos, stated that plans have been made to tour the six geo-political zones of the country to canvass support of Ndigbo for Tinubu.
Tor, a commissioner in the federal character commission, argued that the initiative was borne out of the need to bring Ndigbo on board the Asiwaju presidential project ahead of the 2023 polls.

She further enjoined Ndigbo to critically consider the personal qualities and experience of Asiwaju and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, who have distinguished themselves in the governance of the country.
She particularly pleaded with Ndigbo in Lagos to shun ethnic and religious sentiments and support Tinubu in view of his performance when he administered Lagos state between 1999 and 2007.
