JUST IN: Former Deputy Governor, PDP Secretary Join APC

A day after a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Gombe State, Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a former deputy governor in Ibrahim Dankwambo’s administration, Charles Iliya, has also defected to the APC.

Kabir Bappah Jauro, the North East zonal PDP secretary, was also welcomed into the APC.

Their defection was previously perfected at the flag off of Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s re-election campaign rally at Pantami Stadium in Gombe.

Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, one of the defectors, was named Inuwa’s campaign coordinator for the 2023 elections.

Governor Inuwa responded by thanking the defectors for joining his camp and urging them to contribute to the party’s success in next year’s elections as well as support the APC administration in the state.

He stated that their entry into the party at this time was a welcome development, assuring the new defectors that they would be carried along in the party’s scheme of things.
