Buhari Hails Morocco For Qualifying For World Cup Semi-Final
The Atlas Lions of Morocco and their sovereign, King Mohammed VI, have received congratulations from President Muhammadu Buhari for creating history by becoming the first African team to go to a semifinal of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The President noted that Morocco had made the entire continent proud with their courage and skill, offering optimism that an African team can in fact win the current international championship in Qatar in a statement released on Monday by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu.
President Buhari praised the Lions for their talent and teamwork while also emphasizing that this feat would not have been possible without the government of Morocco’s role in assembling a strong team.
