Buhari Makes Two Key Appointments

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Mallam Shekarau Omar’s reappointment and the appointment of Mabel Ndagi as executive directors of Bank of Industry (BoI).

Omar was reappointed for a second four-year term as Executive Director, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), while Ndagi, currently a General Manager in charge of Government and External Communications, was appointed executive director effective March 19,2023.

Omar, whose first tenor term was set to expire on March 5,2023, will now serve for an additional four years. He was credited with repositioning the SME Directorate through significant portfolio expansion and marked improvement in risk asset quality.

Ndagi has worked for the bank for over 16 years.
