2027 Drama: Ambode Dispels Talk Of Contesting Under ADC Banner

Former Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has dismissed speculations linking him to a governorship ambition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), calling the reports “false publications” designed to distract from the real political agenda, according to IReporter Online.

In a statement released to journalists in Abuja yesterday, Ambode reiterated his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
He stressed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), under which he served as Lagos governor in 2015, and described Tinubu as his leader, mentor, and a tireless champion for Nigeria’s progress, according to IReporter Online.

Ambode lauded President Tinubu’s leadership style, commending his administration for reforms in pensions, student loans, youth empowerment, and economic growth.

He also highlighted successes in ending fuel scarcity, enhancing security, and introducing policies to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

The former governor expressed confidence that another four years under Tinubu would bring even greater achievements, urging Nigerians to ignore distractions and focus on strengthening the APC for 2027 victory, according to IReporter Online.
