Abia First Lady: Without Reliable Power, Quality Healthcare Is Impossible!

The wife of Abia State governor, Priscilla Otti, emphasized that steady power supply is crucial for delivering quality and improved healthcare, according to iReporter Online.

Speaking at the commissioning of a two-kilowatt solar power installation at Amuvi Primary Health Centre in Arochukwu local government area, Mrs. Otti highlighted how reliable electricity enables medical equipment to function effectively, preserves vaccines at the correct temperature, and enhances healthcare service delivery.

According to iReporter Online, the solar power project was carried out under her Safe Tent Care Initiative, in collaboration with the Office of the Wife of the Governor, sponsored by the Rachisols Foundation, and installed by TUDO Energy.

She described the solar installation as more than just a source of light — it is a vital pathway to health and healing for the people of Abia State.

Mrs. Otti also reaffirmed her commitment to partnering with the private sector, NGOs, and individuals to support Governor Alex Otti’s vision of impactful governance, as reported by iReporter Online.

She praised TUDO Energy and the Rachisols Foundation for their meaningful contribution to the state’s healthcare system, while UNICEF’s Chief of Field Office in Enugu, Juliet Chiluwe, pledged continued support for the state’s healthcare development.

The event included remarks from government officials and community leaders, along with a gift distribution to nursing mothers.
