Adesua Initiated Marriage Proposal, Not Me – Banky W Reveals

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer and politician Banky W has disclosed that his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, played a decisive role in the beginning of their marital journey, stating that she was the one who eventually initiated the move that led to their union.

The couple made the revelation during a recent interview with Teju Babyface, where they revisited their love story and how their relationship evolved over time. Banky W explained that although he initially expressed romantic interest in Adesua, she maintained a friendship boundary for a considerable period. He added that after several attempts, he decided to step back and focus on prayers, hoping for a change of heart.

He further noted that after more than a year, Adesua reconnected with him and began addressing him in a manner that signaled a shift in their relationship status, which ultimately became the turning point that led to their marriage.

Adesua Etomi-Wellington also reflected on their marriage, describing it as a decade-long journey marked by consistent affection and emotional closeness. She noted that despite the years, they continue to maintain simple gestures of intimacy such as holding hands and staying physically connected even during sleep. She also revealed that she once had personal reservations about marrying individuals in certain professions, including entertainers, pastors, and politicians, but expressed that her husband embodies all three, which she views as part of a divine plan.
