According to Daily Trust, Kalenjeni noted that Lakuwarawa has recently carried out some of the most devastating attacks in the region, including an assault that resulted in the deaths of four soldiers on patrol along Gudu Road.

“They are coercing people to pay Zakkat while simultaneously robbing them of their possessions. Recently, they robbed a shop owner of ₦2 million and seized his car, releasing it only after he paid ₦350,000,” he said.

The Tangaza Council Chairman further reported that the group has stolen four motorcycles in Balle, the headquarters of Gudu LGA, and that bandits have allied with the terror organization.

“They often raid our communities during the day and retreat to the forest at night. They are also equipped with drones to monitor the movements of security personnel,” Kalenjeni added.
