Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged politicians and stakeholders in the state to align with the Federal Government led by President Bola Tinubu, describing such alignment as crucial for Kano’s development.

According to Ireporter Online, Governor Yusuf made the remarks on Monday during a courtesy visit by members of the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee. He emphasized that political cooperation with the centre had become necessary to fully harness opportunities for the state.

Addressing his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yusuf said the move was in the best interest of Kano State. “Anyone who means well for the people of Kano should align with the Federal Government, because we have missed a lot,” he stated, noting that past political differences had limited the state’s access to federal support.

The governor highlighted that Kano’s political landscape is now more united than ever, adding that reconciliation efforts have gained momentum since his entry into the APC. “Since we joined APC, more people are reuniting. Even divided families are coming back together,” he said, describing the current atmosphere as one of cooperation and collective purpose.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mustapha Muhammad, issued a statement detailing the development.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Ward/LGA Congress Committee, Lantep Dabang, lauded Yusuf’s leadership, describing him as a fair and compassionate leader who upholds integrity and justice in managing party affairs.
