The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly rebuked African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Dele Momodu for predicting that President Bola Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election if former Vice President Atiku Abubakar contests alongside either Peter Obi or Rotimi Amaechi.

According to Ireporter Online, Seye Oladejo, spokesman for the state APC, described Momodu’s claim as speculative, baseless, and politically unrealistic. He insisted that the president’s prospects remain “unstoppable” and urged political commentators to avoid conjecture on elections still months away.

Oladejo emphasized that emerging political alignments and ongoing reforms under President Tinubu’s administration point toward continued stability and growth. He highlighted the administration’s efforts in economic recovery, national security, and sustainable development, asserting that any attempts to undermine this progress are fueled by those opposed to Nigeria’s welfare.

The APC spokesman also criticized the opposition, citing internal crises and a lack of cohesion, as evidence that they are ill-prepared to challenge the president meaningfully. He called on all political actors to focus on constructive contributions to national development rather than speculative election predictions, expressing confidence that Nigerians will continue to support President Tinubu as his administration consolidates reforms across key sectors.
