The National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has stated that the party remains unconcerned about reconciliation efforts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking on Channels Television’s ‘The Morning Brief’ on Thursday, Morka emphasized that the APC’s focus is firmly on the upcoming 2027 general elections and its forthcoming national convention.

Morka explained, “We’re not worried about efforts to reconcile within the PDP. Our concern is the election. Our national convention is just coming up, and we are focused on ensuring that everything necessary is put in place. If the PDP chooses to reconcile, that is their business.”

Addressing recent disagreements within the APC’s Oyo State chapter, Morka dismissed claims of a crisis, describing the disputes as normal competition among aspirants for limited positions. “It’s not about a crisis. It’s people asserting themselves in a competitive environment. We are the largest party in the country, and possibly on the continent. When many people go through a narrow selection process, disagreements are bound to occur,” he said in an interview on Arise News.

On the matter of the ₦5.1 million payment by aspirant Fubara Dagogo, Morka clarified that all payments are made voluntarily under clearly published party guidelines. He added that issues concerning refunds or other concerns can be addressed through internal party channels.
