APC Unveils Nationwide Online Membership Drive To Strengthen Party Base
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially rolled out its electronic membership registration and validation across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the party’s internal structure and improving membership documentation.
The announcement was made on Wednesday by the National Chairman of the party, Nentawe Yilwatda, through his verified social media handle. According to Yilwatda, the exercise will be conducted at the ward level to ensure active participation from grassroots members.
The e-membership program is designed for both existing and new members. “All existing members are expected to validate their membership online, while new and prospective members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family,” Yilwatda stated.
Highlighting the significance of the exercise, he noted that a credible and updated membership register is essential for proper record-keeping, reinforcing the party’s structure, and enhancing member participation in party activities and decision-making. “A stronger register means a stronger party and a more united progressive movement,” he added.
Yilwatda also called on party members and supporters to embrace the exercise as an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to the party and democratic principles. “Let us seize this opportunity to deepen our democracy, renew our commitment, and move forward together,” he said.
