BREAKING: Details Emerge As Police, DSS Storm PDP Secretariat

Police officers and their counterparts from the Directorate of State Security (DSS) have conducted a raid on the Ondo Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The armed security personnel positioned their vehicles outside the premises.

Kennedy Peretei, the spokesperson for the Ondo PDP, explained that the presence of these security officers was to thwart a planned peaceful demonstration by the party’s youth members. This protest aimed to seek information about the whereabouts of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who has been absent from the State since April 2023.

Peretei noted that the staff were denied access to the secretariat.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a warning on Sunday regarding alleged schemes by the PDP and certain APC leaders to incite unrest in the state. They assured that Governor Akeredolu would soon return to the State and emphasized that he has been diligently performing his official duties regardless of his location.
