“Bullets Couldn’t Stop Me” — Ezenwafor Says Surviving Attack Proves He’s Destined for Governorship

According to Ireporter Online, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Anambra State, Jude Ezenwafor, has described surviving a recent assassination attempt as a divine sign that he is destined to become the state’s governor.

Sources disclosed that Ezenwafor was attacked near Wuse 2 while returning home from an appointment, sustaining serious injuries from multiple gunshot wounds. Speaking during an interview on Arise News, he confirmed that the incident was a targeted attempt on his life, describing it as deeply traumatising.

“They rained bullets all over my body, but I am bouncing back,” he said, revealing that the assault left him with a limp and reliant on a walking stick.

Ezenwafor noted that Thursday marked his first day wearing trousers since the attack, adding that the ordeal had been a stark reminder of life’s fragility. “It was a lesson to know that I can die any day, but also a sign that I am not going to die soon—because I am destined to be the governor of Anambra State. I’m very confident about that,” he stated.
