According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, has dismissed circulating reports claiming she was preparing to cook the world’s largest pot of beans in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record.

In a statement shared via her Instagram page on Wednesday, the Ekiti-born chef described the speculation as unfounded and impossible, stressing that she had no intention of embarking on such a project.

The rumours surfaced shortly after celebrity chef Hilda Baci was officially recognized by the Guinness World Records for cooking the largest serving of jollof rice. Many reports suggested that Chef Dammy planned to rival the achievement with a similar record attempt focused on beans.

Setting the record straight, Chef Dammy reaffirmed that the claims were baseless, while extending her heartfelt congratulations to Hilda Baci for her remarkable accomplishment. She praised the effort, describing it as a victory not only for Hilda but also for Nigerians and the entire West African region.

Chef Dammy further appreciated the event sponsors and reiterated her admiration for Hilda’s feat, clarifying that contrary to widespread speculations, she had no plans to embark on a beans project. “People have been asking me, ‘Chef Dammy, are you truly cooking beans?’ No, why would I do that?” she questioned in the video.
