Court Orders Seizure Of Pretty Mike’s Nightclub Over Sh*cking Drug Allegations

According to Ireporter Online, the Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an interim forfeiture order on a property belonging to popular socialite and nightlife promoter, Pretty Mike, over allegations that the facility was being used for illegal drug storage and distribution.

Justice Musa Kakaki granted the order on Tuesday after considering an ex parte motion presented by counsel to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mr. Buhari Abdullahi. The affected property, situated at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, and operating under the name “Proxy Lagos Nightclub,” was alleged to have housed 169 cylinders containing 384.662 kilograms of nitrous oxide (commonly known as laughing gas) and 200 grams of cannabis sativa.

The NDLEA maintained that the nightclub, co-owned by Mike Nwalie, popularly known as Pretty Mike, and one Joachim Hillary, served as a base for the storage and distribution of illicit substances in preparation for a planned “drug-themed party.”

While arguing the motion, Abdullahi urged the court to approve the interim forfeiture of the premises to the Federal Government, describing it as an instrument of crime under the NDLEA Act. He further requested the suspension of all operations at the nightclub pending the outcome of the agency’s investigation, stressing that the measure was necessary to prevent tampering with evidence.

In an affidavit deposed to by Deputy Commander of Narcotics, Nasiru Garba Bungudu, the NDLEA disclosed that credible intelligence received in October 2025 prompted a surveillance operation that led to a midnight raid on the nightclub on October 26, 2025. During the operation, officers reportedly seized the controlled substances and arrested over 200 individuals, including the two suspects.

According to the affidavit, laboratory tests later confirmed the seized materials as prohibited substances. It further alleged that the facility had long served as a hotspot for drug-related activities with the knowledge and consent of its owners.

After reviewing the agency’s application and supporting documents, Justice Kakaki granted the interim forfeiture order and directed that all activities at the nightclub remain suspended pending the completion of investigations. The case was adjourned to January 28, 2026, for further proceedings.
