According to Ireporter Online, Anu Adeleke, who has long been identified as the alleged daughter of Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has formally requested a DNA test to confirm her biological identity.

The request was made public on Thursday via her Instagram page, where she shared a photo of herself alongside a reflective message about resuming school after the holidays and transitioning into her teenage years. In the post, Anu highlighted the values instilled in her by her mother and grandmother, stressing the importance of avoiding drugs, alcohol, negative influences, and inappropriate behaviour.

She further disclosed that she has endured bullying since the age of six after telling classmates that Davido is her father, an experience she said caused her significant emotional distress. According to her, the prolonged harassment led her to seek professional medical support to cope with the psychological impact.

As she matures, Anu stated that establishing her true identity has become increasingly important to her. She therefore appealed directly to the award-winning singer to consent to a DNA test, describing the matter as a private issue between the two of them and urging him to consider her request.

She expressed gratitude to Nigerians who have shown her support over the years, noting that confirming the truth through a DNA test would give her peace of mind.

Reports further reveal that two DNA tests were allegedly conducted in the past, both indicating that Davido was not her biological father. However, Anu’s mother has disputed those findings, alleging that the results were manipulated and that she was denied the opportunity to conduct an independent and transparent test.
