Delta Women Declare ‘No Vacancy’ In Aso Rock, Asaba – Endorse Tinubu, Oborevwori For 2027

According to Ireporter Online, women across Delta State, under the umbrella of Unique Ladies for Sheriff (ULF), have thrown their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that there is “no vacancy” in both Aso Rock and the Government House, Asaba.

The endorsement, which took place during a grand rally at the Cenotaph in Asaba, brought together women representatives from all 25 local government areas of Delta State. The group, known for its strong grassroots influence, pledged unwavering support to ensure the re-election of both Tinubu and Oborevwori.

In her keynote address titled “Touching the Grassroots,” National Coordinator of ULF, Dame Nkem Patience Okwuofu, described the event as a turning point for Delta women to reaffirm their commitment to the governor’s MORE Agenda and the vision of the current administration. She emphasized the group’s ongoing efforts to reach women at the grassroots level, including farmers, traders, artisans, and young girls, urging them to remain politically active and engaged.

Okwuofu commended Governor Oborevwori and his wife, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, for their dedication to inclusive governance and community development. She encouraged women to key into government programmes, take part in voter education, and promote local development initiatives across their communities.

Representing the Governor’s wife, Mrs. Ewoma Erijo, the spouse of the Chief of Staff, praised the unity and enthusiasm displayed by the women, assuring them of continued support from the Office of the First Lady.

Also speaking at the event, the Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, applauded the women’s strong political participation, urging them to remain pillars of virtue and agents of development in their respective communities. He highlighted the crucial role of women in ensuring that government interventions and programmes reach the intended beneficiaries.

The highlight of the gathering was a motion of confidence moved by Princess Pat, reaffirming the women’s total support for President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori. The motion, seconded by Irene Imilar, underscored the group’s belief in the duo’s leadership capacity to continue driving national and state progress.

Princess Pat concluded with a bold declaration that both leaders deserve to return to office unopposed in 2027, citing their achievements and commitment to development as reasons for the endorsement.
