Delta’s ₦936 Billion 2025 Budget Set To Transform State No Borrowing, All-Inclusive Development Strategy

The Delta State Government has approved a proposed 2025 budget of ₦936 billion, which will be submitted to the State House of Assembly for further review and approval.

the budget allocates ₦587.4 billion (62.75%) for Capital Expenditure and ₦348.7 billion (37.25%) for Recurrent Expenditure, based on an exchange rate of ₦1,300 per dollar.

Ekedayen emphasized that the proposed budget, which is 29.12% higher than the previous year’s budget, reflects the administration’s commitment to advancing development across key sectors, including agriculture, youth empowerment, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. The budget will be fully funded through internally generated revenue and federal allocations, with no reliance on borrowing.

Commissioner for Information Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza stated that impactful community projects and key appointments have been approved, while measures are in place to maintain high standards and timely project completion.
