Nigerian music producer and recording artist, Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef, has stirred conversation online after reacting to the recent social media outburst by Crayon, a signee of Mavin Records, directed at the label’s founder, Don Jazzy.

According to Ireporter Online, the controversy began after Crayon took to the social media platform X where he made a series of posts accusing Don Jazzy of taking credit for his success. In the emotional messages, the singer alleged that the label boss had taken his shine and further blamed the record label for circumstances surrounding his mother’s death. Crayon also declared his intention to challenge and possibly bring down the label that helped launch his career.

Reacting to the situation, Samklef mocked Don Jazzy and suggested that the unfolding drama may be connected to the music executive’s recent association with social media commentator VeryDarkMan. The producer claimed that since Don Jazzy began interacting publicly with the activist, several artists under Mavin Records have struggled to maintain the level of success and momentum expected of them.

Samklef also raised concerns about the wellbeing of some artists on the label, pointing to recent visuals released by Ayra Starr, which he said suggested the singer appeared stressed. He further questioned whether the developments within the label could be interpreted as karma, hinting that more revelations about past issues within the camp might still emerge.
