Dishonest and Disgraceful! – NANS Defends Seyi Tinubu’s Generosity Amid Backlash”

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on President Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, to remain focused on his humanitarian efforts and disregard criticism from detractors.

In a statement issued by its Senate President, Usman Adamu Nagwaza, the association described the attacks against Seyi as the handiwork of political opportunists and attention-seekers determined to distract him from his commendable work.

Nagwaza praised Seyi Tinubu’s dedication to service and noted that his positive impact on society cannot be erased by baseless propaganda or malicious campaigns.

“You cannot distort truth with propaganda, nor derail a life rooted in compassion and selfless service,” the statement read. “Seyi Tinubu has built a legacy of shaping destinies and lifting lives—an achievement that far outweighs any fleeting controversy.”

Speaking on behalf of Nigerian students nationwide, NANS expressed gratitude to Seyi for being a symbol of hope in a generation in need of inspiration.

“It is disappointing that in a society where service and selflessness should be celebrated, individuals like Seyi Tinubu—who have chosen humility and generosity over entitlement—are targeted by those driven by misinformation and mischief.”

NANS further emphasized that instead of enjoying the privileges of his position, Seyi Tinubu has chosen to remain grounded, accessible, and committed to the upliftment of ordinary Nigerians.

“To see such a man criticized for his acts of kindness is not only unjust but a betrayal of moral integrity,” the statement concluded.
