Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today, September 8, 2026: See Latest USD/NGN Rate

The Nigerian naira recorded a slight improvement against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Monday, September 8, 2026.

According to Ireporter Online, data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the naira traded at ₦1,320.5574 per dollar, representing a marginal gain compared with the ₦1,321.2160 recorded previously.

At the parallel market, however, the local currency was quoted at about ₦1,400 to the dollar as trading closed on Monday.

Exchange rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change operators and other authorised foreign exchange dealers may vary from official reference rates due to transaction costs, market margins and prevailing demand and supply conditions.

Market watchers are expected to continue monitoring dollar inflows, foreign exchange demand and policy decisions by the Central Bank of Nigeria in the coming weeks as attention remains focused on whether the naira can sustain its recent gains.
