Dollar To Naira Today: Latest Exchange Rate For September 6, 2026

Published

According to Ireporter Online, the Nigerian naira continued to face pressure against the United States dollar at the foreign exchange market on Saturday, with different rates recorded across the official and parallel markets.

Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the local currency traded at ₦1,321.2160 against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market.

The latest exchange rate reflected a slight change from the ₦1,315.6717 per dollar recorded on Friday, as market participants continued to closely monitor movements in the value of the naira.

At the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market, the naira reportedly closed at ₦1,405 to one United States dollar on Saturday.

However, foreign exchange rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change operators and other authorised dealers may vary from official reference rates due to transaction margins, market demand and the availability of foreign currency.

Market observers are expected to keep a close watch on dollar inflows, demand for foreign exchange and policy decisions by the Central Bank of Nigeria in the coming weeks, as these factors could determine whether the naira maintains stability or experiences further pressure during the month.
